Mesotherapy Treatment
Mesotherapy is an amazing new anti-aging rejuvenating facial favoured by many A-list celebs such as Holly Willoughby, Katy Perry, Jennifer Aniston and Rihanna. It is a technique that uses microinjections of vitamins, amino-acids, minerals, Hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and plant extracts to rejuvenate and tighten skin. Mesotherapy delivers these nourishing ingredients, all essential components for healthy skin, to the skin layers where cell repair and growth occurs.
Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure providing a more natural alternative to other fillers on the market to target dull, tired, dry, lifeless skin and superficial wrinkles.
How does mesotherapy work – the science bit!
Here at The Beauty Spot in Basingstoke we use FILLMED NCTF® products for our Mesotherapy treatments which combine hyaluronic acid and 59 other active ingredients (vitamins, amino acids etc) for revitalised and perfected skin.
NCTF® 135 HA and NCTF® 135 are two exclusive anti-ageing and polyrevitalising micro-fillers that hydrate and revitalize the different layers of the skin by providing the ingredients that it needs to thrive. Their unique core formula made of hyaluronic acid and a complete poly-revitalizing complex is recognised for improving skin quality.
Since 2007 NCTF has been CE certified and over 3 million treatments have been carried out throughout the world. It is used by aesthetic practitioners worldwide and is currently distributed in more than 60 different countries. In 2018, NCTF® received an award for being one of the best products in aesthetics for the last 20 years.
Many scientific studies have been carried out on the safety and efficiency of NCTF® in maintaining and improving skin quality. Results revealed that NCTF® significantly increased tonicity, hydration and skin radiance, while having a considerable effect on the appearance of wrinkles.
How long does mesotherapy take and how does it work
Our therapists are fully trained in using Nappage microinjection techniques. The product is injected into the upper epidermis and gentle pressure applied to the area which creates a tiny papula (a small bump) in the skin. The papulas act as NCTF® “reservoirs”. Within 24 hours, the solution gradually diffuses into the upper epidermis creating a more hydrated and smooth skin.
We use FILLMED NANOSOFT™ micro-needles to perform our NCTF microinjections:
- 3 x smaller than regular injectables needles
- Significantly reduce discomfort, redness and bruising
- ideal for delicate areas e.g. eye contour, neck, décolleté
Mesotherapy pre-treatment skin peels
Prior to performing the NCTF microinjections a skin peel is required to prep the skin. The Two types of skin peels we use before any meso-therapy treatment are:
Light peel: targeting fine lines, dull and sensitive skin
Benefits: a superficial chemical peel which can be used before ANY aesthetic treatment to improve skin quality without stripping the skin of water.
This peel is clinically proven to reduce fine lines by 39%, increase radiance by 97% and is suitable for sensitive skin.
Key ingredients: 20% Peeling Complex, Mandelic Acid, Gluconolactone

Bright peel: anti-aging peel for normal skin
Improves the appearance of dark spots, radiance and wrinkles.
Active ingredients: 50% peel complex, Phytic acid, Citric acid and Glycolic acid, Gluconolactone, PH 1.5
These peels work by lowering the skins pH to 3 and gently melts away the ‘glue’ holding the skins cells together, so the dead, dehydrated cells fall away, revealing a fresher more radiant complexion. They are not ‘stripping’ peels, so will not dehydrate the skin, they contain gluconolactone for optimised efficacy and tolerance. This molecule has a processed chemical structure for a keratolytic action, which is as effective as AHAs but better tolerated, it has many properties including a sebo-regulating effect.
Skin Health – mesotherapy facial treatment
Our ‘Skin Health’ facial is the ultimate treatment to improve skin radiance, smooth out your skin tone and texture and boost your overall skin quality. This five-step treatment will have you feeling like a new and improved version of yourself with younger-looking rejuvenated skin.
Step 1: We start by cleansing your skin and then using HYPO-21 to kill off any bio-forms and to help sterilise the skin.
Step 2: We select which of the above peels we are going to use, depending on your skin concerns and condition. The peel is left on for 3 – 5 minutes then removed.
Step 3: The NCTF serum is prepped to go into our micro syringe ready to use a technique called Nappage to perform the mesotherapy injections. Using the Nappage technique we glide across the skin surface creating tiny pockets for the serum to absorb into the upper epidermis, which helps to boost the skins radiance, quality and appearance almost instantly. At this point the skin feels firm and plump.
Step 4: After the Nappage step we wipe over the skin with Hypo-21 again to neutralise the skin ready for a Celluma LED light therapy treatment. The light is applied for 30 minutes which helps to further boost the skins collagen and elastin cells and improve cell turnover resulting in the ultimate skin health facial.
Step 5: Once the 30-minute Celluma treatment is complete we finish with a FILLMED B3-recovery serum which contains ingredients with hydrating properties. Vitamin B3 boosts collagen synthesis and strengthens the skin barrier. Lastly, we apply a SPF50+ to protect the skin from photoaging.
We recommend 3 mesotherapy ‘Skin Health’ facial treatments 4 – 6 weeks apart for optimum results.

Step 3: We walk you through how to use the soothing B3-RECOVERY CREAM and EYE-RECOVER MASK to complete this protocol treatment at home, applying the EYE-RECOVER MASK once the skin barrier has completely recovered.
We recommend 2 mesotherapy BEAUTIFEYE treatments 2 weeks apart for optimum results.

How long does mesotherapy last?
The results of mesotherapy can last 12 to 18 months after the course of treatment is completed if you follow a healthy lifestyle. For optimal results, we recommend top-up treatments every 3-5 months to maintain the improved appearance.
Mesotherapy side-effects and aftercare
In some cases there can be some redness, papules (small intentional bumps in the skin) pin prick marks and possibly scratches following treatment. These can be seen up to 48 hours after a treatment. A tight feeling is normal.
- Immediate application of makeup should be avoided is possible for 24-48 hours.
- Avoid touching your face as much as possible after treatment.
- For the next 24 hours you should:
- Avoid extreme exercise and temperatures such as shower/bath, sun beds or swimming in chlorinated water.
- Drink plenty of water
- SPF50+ must be worn daily.
- Avoid abrasive skin exfoliants or chemical peels for 5 days
- Ensure you moisturise and use recommended serums following your treatment to nourish and heel the skin.
- A hydrating sheet mask may be applied to reduce redness and heat.
- Ensure you return and complete the protocol of treatments suggested by your skin expert to fulfil your skin goals.
